Brand Manager

The Opportunity:
As Brand Manager at Greenleaf Foods, you will not only be a part of a dynamic and entrepreneurial team, but you will have the opportunity to lead a brand and platform with growth aspirations that will define the category and shape consumers’ view of plant-based foods. You will work directly with the Director of Marketing and have responsibility for building both short and long-term demand creation through a deep understanding of the consumer and translating that into winning marketing strategies for communication and product innovation. This individual needs to possess an attention to detail, excellent communication skills, intellectual curiosity with ability to lead cross functional teams in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
 
Primary Responsibilities
Business Management
  • Work with Marketing Director to develop insight driven brand plans and communication objectives that deliver on the overall brand strategy
  • Deliver against brand financial goals, managing both top and bottom line
  • Manage innovation/renovation pipeline and go-to market strategy
  • Manage cross-functional projects and ensure marketing execution runs smoothly
  • Support volume forecasting and the annual planning process
  • Manage A&P budget to maximize business results
  • Analyze in-market performance and trends leading to actionable business recommendations
Win with the Consumer
  • Create winning strategic plans to increase consumer brand awareness, equity, and trial
  • Leverage consumer insights to refine and evolve brand positioning and communication strategy
  • Build and launch comprehensive marketing campaigns in partnership with internal and external digital marketing & media teams and agencies
Win with the Customer
  • Partner with Sales to develop and execute winning marketing strategies at key accounts
  • Develop and execute Shopper Marketing plans to drive purchase conversion at retail
  • Evaluate and help develop merchandising strategies, selling stories, trade/promotion plans, assortment & pricing guidance

Qualifications
  • Proven success in a brand management capacity (preferably with CPG experience)
  • Progressive 3-5 year experience in brand management or adjacencies
  • Strong financial/business acumen
  • Have a consumer obsessed mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize data and insights into action
  • Familiarity with trade and pricing concepts
  • Experience in leading and executing marketing campaigns
  • Experience leading projects from concept to in-market
  • High aptitude with syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen, SPINS, etc)
  • Success managing an agency relationship
  • Budget management
  • MBA preferred
