Lead Sanitation Technician (2nd Shift)

We are currently offering a $4,000 sign-on bonus for this role (to be paid out over the course of 90 days).

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Be a part of a new team in a landfill free, plant-based protein manufacturing facility on the east side of Indianapolis.   

The Opportunity:
  • Be responsible for the sanitation of the production plant to food safety standards and provide leadership, training and direction to the team.
  • Keep production equipment and facility production ready.  
  • Participate in the startup process of new equipment during the initial startup of the facility.

A snapshot of some of the exciting things you will do:
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing/Sanitation Practices, follow sanitation and process procedures and guidelines and SOP’s
  • Disassemble, sanitize and reassemble food processing equipment.
  • Disinfect surfaces using approved chemicals and Material Safety Data Sheets for chemicals used.
  • Clean and remove ingredient and chemical barrels.
  • Analyze production schedule.
  • Document and record department information.  
  • Report equipment concerns to the supervisor or maintenance.

What you will bring:
  • At least 1-year manufacturing experience, preferably in food industry
  • Flexibility to work overtime and evening shifts, including occasional weekends
  • Knowledge of sanitation chemicals, preferred
  • Experience cleaning or sanitizing equipment is a plus
  • Ability to work in wet or humid conditions regularly
  • Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, bend and lift up to 30 pounds
  • Experience with power industrial equipment including forklift or scissors lift, or ability to learn
