Brand Manager

The Opportunity:
As Brand Manager at Greenleaf Foods, you will not only be a part of a dynamic and entrepreneurial team, but you will have the opportunity to lead a brand with explosive growth aspirations that will define the category and shape consumers view of plant-based protein foods. You will work directly with the Director of Marketing for Field Roast and have responsibility for building both short and long-term demand creation through a deep understanding of the consumer and translating that into winning marketing strategies for communication and product innovation. This individual needs to possess an attention to detail, excellent communication skills, intellectual curiosity with ability to lead cross functional teams in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
 
Primary Responsibilities
Business Management
  • Work with Marketing Director to evolve the overall brand strategy, develop insight driven brand plans and communication objectives
  • Deliver against brand financial goals, managing both top and bottom line
  • Manage innovation/renovation pipeline through go-to market
  • Support volume forecasting and the annual planning process
  • Manage A&P budget to maximize business results
  • Analyze in-market performance and trends leading to actionable business recommendations
Win with the Consumer
  • Create winning strategic plans to increase consumer brand awareness and equity
  • Build and launch comprehensive marketing campaigns with internal digital marketing & media team and agencies
  • Leverage consumer insights and studies to identify and evolve the portfolio from a total proposition standpoint
  • Refine consumer targets through segmentation analysis
Win with the Customer
  • Partner with Sales to develop and execute winning marketing strategies at key accounts
  • Evaluate and help develop merchandising strategies, trade/promotion plans, assortment & pricing guidelines

Qualifications
  • Proven success in a brand management capacity (preferably at a blue-chip CPG organization)
  • Progressive 3-5 year experience in brand management
  • Strong financial/business acumen
  • Have a consumer obsessed mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize data and insights into action
  • Familiarity with trade and pricing concepts
  • Experience in leading and executing marketing campaigns
  • Experience leading projects from concept to in-market
  • High aptitude with syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen, SPINS, etc)
  • Success managing an agency relationship
  • Budget management
  • MBA preferred
